Questions and Answers about The Register
What is the Register?
The Register is intended to become the comprehensive list of professional international school teachers and administrators.
What is the purpose of The Register?
To fill the need for a single source of up-to-date and comprehensive information on who's who in international education.
What are the criteria for membership?
Members must be professional teachers or administrators who work or
have worked in international schools. Work and educational experience
must be verifiable by international school colleagues.
What is the cost of membership?
Membership and Listing are free for international school educators.
What makes The Register different?
The Register of International Educators is the only list to focus on the individuals involved in international education rather than the institutions they serve.
Whom is The Register for?
The Register is for use by International Educators in their work at international schools and by those serving those schools and educators.
Who will be able to read ("have access to") The Register?
Only fellow-registered international educators will have access to the list, even among the organizations serving them.
Will my e-mail address be public?
No. Your e-mail address will never be made public by iteachnet.org
on any of its sites. (This does not, of course, preclude users from
making their e-mail addresses public themselves.)
Will other members be able to contact me?
Only if you wish them to be able to do so. Logged-in members will
see a link to "My account." They can click on it to get to their
personal settings control panel and can choose to provide a means for
colleagues to contact them or not.
When looking for a new job or colleagues to join in a particular project, you may wish to activate your "contact" link.
Why are you starting The Register of International Educators?
To give international educators recognition for their importance to international education.
Who should join?
It is recommended that all international school professionals list
themselves in The Register.
Can I recommend colleagues?
By all means. We provide a link to a form designed to help you do so.
Isn't the value of the list for each member increased by a larger membership?
Yes, of course, there is strength in numbers.
Is this an association?
No, iteachnet.org is one of a new breed of commercial organizations
that is founded, under the premise that a for-profit company can be
more effective and flexible than a non-profit, to carry out work on
behalf of those it serves.
What do I get if I join?
Joining not only puts you on The Register of International Educators, but it also entitles you to the privileges of membership in The Network of International Educators. Click here to read about membership [1],
How do I join?
Joining is as easy as creating an account on this Web site [2].
