Are you a writer? Would you like to be one?
Most of us long to express our creativity, but find ourselves diverted by the "noise" around us and by our own conflicting impulses, desires, needs and energy. Surprizingly, once we focus on finding the right words in the right form, we are energized. like runners in the sixteenth mile, we are high on the wind and find we have the energy to go on. What's more, we can go even faster.
But, the experience of putting down our thoughts on paper (or computer) is only the start of the process. We must share our work with others. We must "workshop" it. The process of reading our work and receiving constructive, friendly comments clarifies our thoughts and helps us see our writing as it is. Reading aloud and listening to ourselves and to others' reactions moves us forward in our work and opens our hearts to breathe life in more deeply, thus invigorating us for more observation, reflection, writing, rewriting and sharing.
Come to an iteachnet.org workshop. Relax and talk. Relax and Write. Relax and work. You owe it to yourself to fulfil your need to to create. Write. Come share with like-minded souls at an iteachnet.org writer's workshop. We'll all grow richer for it.

NOTE: David has been teaching writing for 25 years and writing himself for longer than that. He has successfully converted many would-be writers into true writers whose lives are richer for it, and he has helped many of those already writing regularly to improve their creativity and to hone their craft.
